This one time award is made annually to a member who has contributed unselfishly to support the Club through teaching, holding an office, or performing other tasks throughout the year as voted by the club members.

The club was originally formed in the early 1980s as a Chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters. The original Pelican Painters changed their name to the Decorative Painters of Southwest Florida who then voted in 2019 to become independent.

The DEDICATED Artists of Southwest Florida, a public charity and independent club, is a dedicated group of individuals who strive to improve their own painting, share their art with others, and contribute to the community.
