Gerri Pucci ZOPPA
Gerri started her painting career during the 1980s and within ten years was selling her work in New Jersey. She continued studying various styles of art earning certification in ‘One Stroke Painting’ by Donna Dewberry and taking classes with Robert Lewis, one of the famous Highwaymen. Teaching at both craft stores and adult schools, it wasn’t long before she received national attention. Her painting was accepted into The Library of Congress in Washington D.C. (2004) and the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. (2005).
Relocation from New Jersey to Florida in 2006 brought new places to share her love of art. She began teaching at many locations including country clubs and her own community in Fort Myers. Currently, her work has been included in juried exhibitions at Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, DAAS CO-OP Art Gallery & Gifts, Arts for ACT Gallery and the Cape Coral Art Center …all located in the Cape Coral and Fort Myers area. Gerri continues to study with the Highwaymen, the African American landscape artists in Florida whose artwork has become very collectible.
