Colorful Sculptures!…
CHIHULY, is a name synonymous with glass, color, and form. Dale Chihuly glass sculptures are found throughout the world in museums and other prominent places. Not only talented in glass sculpture, his bold marketing and exhibition has brought him fame.
While we cannot melt and form glass like Dale Chihuly, we can be inspired by his work and use melted plastic to mimic the look of blown glass. These miniature sculptures, about 6 x 6 inches, will bring you delight sitting on a table top or any nook or cranny.
Polystyrene marked with a recycling code 6 inside a triangle or polystyrene sheets work well when melted with moderate heat. Each sculpture created will be unique due to the organic nature of how your sculpture pieces are colored and how they curl. Add your assembly design of individual elements and you will have a faux Chihuly glass sculpture!
