Jackie MARTH

Jackie loved art from early on and by high school was experimenting with chalk pastels. Painting with oils followed when she majored in art while attending the University of Connecticut. Later on, acrylics and watercolors were added to the media she works in and even encaustic painting. Presently, Jackie is having fun – tackling oils and acrylics with her palette knives! Jackie never stops  learning, taking art classes at Edison College (now FSW) and FGCU (Florida Gulf Coast University). She continues to pursue art through workshops with local artists and nationally acclaimed artists.

Jackie is a snowbird and an outdoor lover. When not working her paint brush in Minnesota she can be found working the paddle of her kayak on the waterways. The natural beauty that surrounds Floridians is the inspiration for her paintings based in realism. Lush tropical foliage, abundance of birds and wildlife, beautiful beaches and the unforgettable vistas offer her endless painting opportunities. Accolades include her original art work was chosen for the cover of the Estero Art League brochure.The painting is based on a photo taken at Koreshan State Park. The painter & easel seen in the foreground is from a photo of Jackie taken by her husband! Portraits have been another of her pursuits and her portfolio includes portraits of children and adults. Her goal is to grow as an artist expanding her horizons through workshops and interacting with other artists.
