IMPRESSIVE! …Iconic!
Painting on a good sized wood panel will make this a special piece in your personal collection of art. Tapped on foliage creates the background while the more detailed lighthouse makes a striking statement. Even the sky is beautiful!
Constructed pre-Civil War, this important historical light originally used a multi-candle candelabra called a candle lantern to warn of shallow waters off Assateague Island. Now converted to electric, this light is visible 19 miles out to sea. It remains functional to this day.
Each lighthouse uses a unique light pattern to identify themselves. Assateague has twin rotating lights that flash one after the other.

Member appreciation was amazing! It started with a delicious hospitality “groaning board” and beautiful live roses and painted ones everywhere you looked. We saw beautiful show-and-tell, memory boxes for the hospitals (12 more shipped in February) and honored our wonderful members with charms and gift cards to the contest winners. We dined on Jason’s Deli lunches and LOVED painting with Monica…
The “Vintage Roses” was a wonderful learning experience using palette knives with mud and painting products that were new to us. Student painters had wonderful success under the tutelage of Monica who is a very talented travel teacher. Thank you Monica for a great day. Thank you Board for all you do…
Thank you Members for making Dedicated Artists great!
Enjoy the picture memories of a really great day.
