Someone You Know?…
Martha had fun designing these wonderful women who, despite their age, know how to have fun. They are part of a series of similar paintings.Looking at the expressions of the subjects makes the viewer want to laugh, too. - If you use a painter’s choice surface you will need a 8×10 area to accommodate the pattern.
- 8×10 Stretched Canvas …FREE to members painting the program
SURFACE PREPARATION:
During Class…
- Basecoat canvas with a scoop of blue w/white and a tiny amount of red to gray it down
- When dry, transfer the pattern
Brushes:
- 1-inch Flat, or even a 3/4-inch for basecoating canvas
- 1/2-inch Angle
- #6 or #8 Round
- #6 or #8 Filbert
- Liner, 10/0
- “The Leaf-Making Brush”, …a crummy brush, beat up stencil brush, rake, or fan or all of these or even your liner or dotting tool
- Any Favorites
