Great Blue Heron…
What a beautiful rendition of this classical pose!
You surely have been treated to sightings of these large blue-grey wading birds with the black stripe over the eye. They are the largest heron in North America with a wing span of about 6 feet or more and are found in south Florida year round.
Enjoy painting with Suzanne who has a reputation for making it easy. This project uses a rake brush to create the look of feathers.

Just five (5) day post knee surgery, Suzanne was leading dozens of painters to create a Great Blue Heron using the background as shading. Each painter created a successful heron and each was unique! What a fun class that taught all to use a rake brush making feather painting easy.
Thank you Suzanne!
