Still of the Night…
We welcome Martha back as a teacher!
Martha, as an artist, has always explored new art forms and developed expertise in each of her endeavors. She will have much to share with you. Since retiring from her ‘real’ job, Martha has become a full time artist.
Artistic talent just flows from the tip of her brush and she will help you to become a better artist, too. Add a bit of impressionism to your painting through the use of color. You will be amazed at all she has to share… This canvas is based on a photograph by Casey Horner taken in Yosemite and posted to the unsplash.com website. Unsplash has beautiful, free images gifted by the world’s most generous community of photographers.

The Still-of-the-Night was an amazing project! Painters did not put down even one line of pattern and learned that they could still paint – and a successful picture at that. Martha Stevenson had thought of every last detail to prepare us for success as she led us in this impressionistic painting based on a photo of the Milky Way. Paints were in individual containers and labelled. Tiny liners were provided. It was a great program.
The follow up video made by Martha was hailed as a great idea by those unable to attend and you will see pictures painted by snowbirds who could not be with us to paint in person. You can ‘subscribe’ to her YouTube channel as a way to say ‘thanks.’
Thank you, Martha, for a wonderful program.
The preparation you did prior to teaching shows so much thought and work. Your planning sure showed!
