Desert Flowers

Deserts can be either hot or cold but all deserts share having a restricted rainfall. The extremely dry conditions limit the flora and fauna that inhabit them. That makes the beauty of these flowers just that much more spectacular.

With a simple background, complementary colors and lots of line work, you will create this high impact painting. The design is by Sandy McTier. Cathy teaches with permission.

“I was going to joke about my broken pencil. But it was pointless.”
Cathy, with her usual flare for making a program fun, opened her “Desert Flowers” program with one-liners that had everyone laughing. Painters also received a great brush cleaner. She had everyone doing multiple layers and glazing to get the beautiful subtle look of a multitude of colors in the desert cacti. Beautiful! Thank you, Cathy
