Daylilies are beautiful flowers that last only one day…

To make up for this, there are many flower buds on each flowering stalk and many stalks in each clump of plants. Daylilies will therefore flower for several weeks not just one day.

Painting the beautiful yellow daylilies on this tray will let you enjoy them year round. Janet teaches in her home state of New York and most recently was teaching at NET (New England Traditions – Painting Convention). She has been a regular at DASF over the years with many beautiful projects. Janet is a travel teacher but you will have a great class with Janet right here in Florida.

SURFACE:

• If you use a painter’s choice surface you will need a 6×14 area to accommodate the pattern.
• 6-1/2 x 14 Tray …FREE to members painting the program

SURFACE PREPARATION:

• Your plastic tray surface will be prepared ahead by Janet. She washed each with soap & water and then rinsed with a solution of 1:1 vinegar and water. Once dry she brushed on the Paint Adhesion mixed 1:1 with Black paint and dried with a heat gun.
• BEFORE YOU BEGIN: You will need to apply a second coat of Black paint before applying the pattern.

• Liner, good liner
• #4 Angle OR Round Brush for basecoating
• Any of your favorites

Another wonderful meeting with so many members attending. And two dozen painted eggs (wood) were exchanged. It was a day of fun and learning. The treats were plentiful. The pizza lunch was delicious. And scholarship applications were due so soon as April 15th was just around the corner. Janet did a wonderful job of teaching her project even basecoating 45 trays for our handiwork! Thank you Janet… That was a lot of work getting everything ready for painting.
