It is probably the bright colors that draw you to this beautiful  cut glass vase with a single rose. But each time you pick up your paint brush you learn something new and this is an opportunity to learn how to use masking fluid.

For many, masking fluid is a new experience. The masking fluid acts as a resist that will protect your paper so that it will remain white.

Masking Fluid is also known as frisket. It allows painters to preserve white areas that are too tiny to paint around. It is made of latex and must be thoroughly dry before you start to paint. But, do NOT use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process! It will make the masking fluid/frisket very difficult to remove when it is time.
