Where is the “Treasure”?
“Treasure Island”, a barrier island off the coast of Florida, got its name when property owners first buried and then “found” wooden treasure chests on the beach …an attempt to increase property values!

Jackie is our own treasure, doing an amazing job of painting from her photographs, and this is no exception.  Learn how to create texture like this in your own paintings. Learn to use a palette knife with skill.

The Sea Oats depicted are native grasses found in all Florida coastal counties. Responsible for stabilizing dunes and preventing erosion, they have been protected since the 1970s. It is now illegal to cut, harvest or remove them.

Brushes NOT needed! …This class is a great way to learn to paint with palette knives

Final Program of 2025
Unbelievable! Jackie was able to lead almost 50 aspiring artists to a finished painting and we NEVER picked up a brush! All paint was applied with a palette knife AND …we mixed our own colors …AND we used no pattern! It was most definitely a fun experience learning new things. Thank you, Jackie. You turned all of us into fine artists. Notice hands and arms wearing paint in the following photos. Wow! We were a messy group.
