Elegant Creatures

Cats have captured the hearts of people for thousand of years. They can zoom through your living room at 30 mph yet spend about 15 hours per day cat napping! With a most unusual gait, they are the only animals besides camels and giraffes that move both legs on one side of their body at the same time.

Capture the spirit and sassiness perfectly as this fancy feline gives you a look of displeasure. Everyone knows that people do not own cats. People are ‘staff’ to care for all their pet’s needs!

Enjoy painting this program with Monica as she helps us focus on a beautiful face with directional strokes combined with the background basecoat. The focal point eye adds interest.

July PHOTO Gallery
Show-and-Tell is the most amazing time as members share ideas, products, and techniques. Everyone is encouraged to share their art and the result is our painter’s skills grow by leaps and bounds. Thank you to all who participate.

Monica’s easy kitty pattern was a fooler! Our brushes got a real workout as we swirled and blended to make a beautiful blue eye and then the wisp brush worked even harder creating all that beautiful fur. Monica got a workout, too, as she moved around the room helping three dozen students paint the Purr-fect Pout Kitty… Thank you, Monica. Painting the beautiful kitty that wrapped around the edge of the canvas was fun.

We had three guests who painted with us and wonderful snacks including a homemade crumb cake. Everyone wanted the recipe so it is included in the photo gallery below!

Rainy season is now here and time to work at your Winter Luncheon projects while you stay cool in the air conditioning. August brings two more Boutique painting parties at Pioneer Village to have a fun day painting for the Winter Luncheon boutique. The only cost is for your lunch at the Nauti Parrot after we finish painting at noon.
