BIRDS ON A BRANCH

Sweet Birds
Sweet little birds pop with contrasting color and lots of details in small spaces to showcase their many expressions. These finches are often found huddling both to keep warm and because they are so social. Finches and canaries were used in coal mines to detect carbon monoxide gas. That practice was abandoned in 1986. This canvas has an interesting shape and you will have a great time painting with Martha. She has a deep knowledge of painting styles and products.

June PHOTO Gallery
Birds were everywhere on the canvases and in painters brushes as Martha got us to spread our ‘wings’ and fly with a bit of creativity. She did provide patterns but also suggested various backgrounds and had many pictures and bird patterns for us to choose from.
Thank you to Martha Stevenson for a great program, discussion of various products, and a cool bag of ‘goodies’. She never disappoints us students.

Snowbirds have left and this slow season is an ideal time to invite your guests! We know how to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated. In June we welcomed Kate who came to us all the way from Manchester, England. And past member Dr. Linda Gosey came as a guest. Back in 2018 when we operated differently as a Chapter of SDP was the last time she painted with us. We had two other guests as well who came from the Punta Gorda side of town.

Rainy season is now here and time to work at your Winter Luncheon projects while you stay cool in the air conditioning. We have more Boutique painting parties at Pioneer Village this summer. Check out the “seminars” MENU to see when they are.
